The site extends to approximately 15.14 acres (6.12 hectares) and lies to the south of Irvine Road, where access is taken.
The site is irregular in shape and undulating in nature with grassland, shrubs and trees.
The site is is bound to the north by Irvine Road, to the east by a commercial scrap yard, to the south by a modern residential development and to the west by agricultural land.
The site has historically suffered from an infestation of Japanese Knotweed and Giant Hogweed.
The site has been extensively treated with Herbicide and there has been no regrowth of the Japanese Knotweed this season, however the Giant Hogweed is still active with an ongoing treatment of Herbicide.
