    Town Planning

SITE A – BRUCEFIELD EAST (MCADAM SQUARE) The adopted West Lothian Local Development Plan (September 2018) allocates the site as an ‘Employment Site’ located within a designated ‘Employment Area’. The site local plan reference is E-LV 2 – Brucefield East. The local plan also categories employment sites into one of eleven categories (A to K). Brucefield East is ‘Category A’ which is defined as ‘General needs industrial’ where the broadest range of use classes 4, 5 and 6 would be acceptable (where Class 4 is business use, Class 5 is general industrial and Class 6 is storage and distribution). The local plan specifies the following infrastructure requirements for the site: • Access from east boundary. • Retain and enhance mature hedge on south boundary and central shelterbelt. SITE B – BRUCEFIELD PARK WEST The adopted West Lothian Local Development Plan (September 2018) allocates the site as an ‘Employment Site’ located within a designated ‘Employment Area’. Brucefield Park West is ‘Category A’ which is defined as ‘General needs industrial’ where the broadest range of use classes 4, 5 and 6 would be acceptable (where Class 4 is business use, Class 5 is general industrial and Class 6 is storage and distribution).
