The land is located on the western edge of Chard. The town centre is approximately 930-yards (850-metres) to the south-east.

The next stage of the consultation will be in relation to the Publication Plan. This is expected to take place in early/mid 2021.

The land is identified as a draft allocation for housing under emerging planning policy CH3 (housing growth at land west of Crimchard, Chard) within the Preferred Options consultation document and accompanying plans.

The draft allocation includes the provision of approximately 38no. dwellings (including 29% affordable housing) and associated public open space.
