The original Manor House, overlooking the historic gardens, contains the lively hub of the Hotel with Reception, Bream Cove AA Rosette Restaurant, Rosemullion Bar, Bridge Lounge, Tapestry Room and Studio. Scenic al-fresco dining is provided on the landscaped lawns and terraces, popular for afternoon teas amongst the unspoilt flora and wildlife that Meudon is centered around.
Guest accommodation is provided in the purpose built extension, providing modern and spacious bedrooms away from the buzz of the Manor House facilities. All bedrooms have garden or valley views and some have sea glimpses and offer a peaceful and scenic setting for guests.
The mature gardens date back to the 1800s with valley walks down to the Hotel’s private beach at Bream Cove and the South West Coast Path offering opportunities for beach events and ceremonies. The gardens boast a wide array of botanical excellence, sourced from the far reaches of the world.
Around 90% of the bedrooms have been refurbished to provide light, contemporary designed accommodation, surrounded by the tranquil and peaceful valley garden.
In addition, the Gardener’s Cottage, located in the hotel grounds, comprises a 2 bedrooms self-catering unit.
The F&B; and event facilities are located in the Manor House, with breathtaking views of the sub-tropical gardens including Bream Cove Restaurant, Rosemullion Bar Lounge, Bridge Lounge, Tapestry Room and Studio.
There is also potential (subject to obtaining the necessary permissions) to create an additional, exclusive rooftop bar area in the Tower room, located above the Bar Lounge.
Back of house areas include well equipped, large commercial kitchen, offices and stores. There is also a 5 bedroom Manager’s flat located within the original parts of the Manor House.
GARDENS, GROUNDS & BEACH
The unique gardens at Meudon are one of Cornwall’s horticultural gems. Guests can take valley and woodland walks past the botanical museum of plants from around the world down to the private Bream Cove Beach, owned by the Hotel. The Hotel’s ownership of the Beach continues down to the low water mark.
Within the grounds are a variety of outbuildings including 3 stables, Tower House Folly (ripe for development to a two bedroom accommodation unit), Victorian greenhouse, workshop and wood shed. Across the road from the Hotel is the Coach House, comprising a former garage with chauffeur flat above, with potential to provide 5 staff bedrooms or convert to further letting accommodation with wrap around balcony to capture the views (STPP).
Additionally, there are two garages located in the car park comprising 6 staff bedrooms and a flat with potential to convert in to additional accommodation.
Bream House, constructed by the current owners in a private position on the headland has outstanding views over Falmouth Bay and offers a significant development opportunity. The 5 bedroom house, including 3 stables and tack room, 10 acre field with paddock and single stable, sand school and manege is available by separate negotiation.
