The site is part of an allocation in the South Norfolk Local Plan for residential development under policy SUR2, which states the allocated area could accommodate approximately five dwellings. Two dwellings are currently being constructed on land adjacent the subject site formed part of the allocation meaning the subject site could now accommodate up to three dwellings.
The policy states that the site should provide frontage development only, landscaping as required to address the difference in levels within the site, and there would need to be some local highways improvements and the provision of safe access.
We are not aware of a requirement for Section 106 contributions, however, CIL is applicable.

The site is located in central Surlingham, fronting New Road and close to the village pond.
