We are privileged to offer for sale the former Garrison Church of St. Peter & St. Paul. This detached character building was built in 1866 as a chapel and school for the British School of Gunnery although has more recently been used as a place of worship.

The church remained in military use until the closure of the Garrison in 1987. The property was then acquired by a development company who used the property as a marketing suite whilst developing the Garrison in the 1990s.

Our clients then purchased the building in 2011 to use as an administrative and training centre for school based staff.

The property is subject to an overage provision, which is operable for 15 years from the date of purchase (2nd September 2011). The overage provisions provide that where planning permission for a change of use is granted and the property is subsequently sold within the 15 year period, an additional payment will be due to the original seller. The amount of the additional payment will depend on the value at which the property is sold. Please enquire for further details.
