Sleaford is a market town and civil parish in Lincolnshire located approximately 11 miles north east of Grantham, 16 miles west of Boston and 17 miles south of Lincoln. With a population of 17,671 at the 2011 Census, the town is the largest settlement in the North Kesteven district. Bypassed by the A17 and the A15, it is connected to Lincoln, Newark, Peterborough and King's Lynn. Furlong Way links with Lincoln Road (B1518) approximately 50 metres to the west which in turn links with Holdingham Roundabout (A15/A17) approximately 150 metres to the north. Persimmon Homes are concluding the construction of c290 dwellings (phase 1) on land adjacent to the east which also benefits from a resolution to grant planning permission for a further c200 dwellings (phase 2).
